Day 3 of Volunteering. Today is my first day at the Melbourn Exhibition Centre. The place is massive. I got a phone call while I was catching the tram into the city when i got a call from the medical co-ord, checking if i was alright. I was suppose to be at the exibition centre at 1300h. But on the roster that i received, it said 1500h. Anyway I got there at about 1430h.
After a light orientation, I was ready to get into the job. I actually have to sit at the referee's table to provide advice to the referees, if a player goes down on injury. I have to decided whether the player is fit enough to play on. There are a doctor and two physio that rotate through the referee's desk. and when we are not at the desk, then we are located at the medical clinic where the athletes do their training and warm up. So it's good, we get to see heaps of the training and athletes.
I treated a few people today, and once again i can't say who. But i've managed to get a couple of photos of athletes at the clinic. and the people i've treated all have won their events. So i don't this it was all to do with the top quality of my treatments but rather their skills.
Overall, I had an awesome day.
